Our news 04.01.2008
I hope everyone had a great Xmas and a well deserved break.  Much has changed in the past couple of months with GRFA appointing and new committee and president.  We bid farewell to Joe Cappadona after 15 years in the drivers seat.  John Karounas succeeds Joe.  John joins the GRFA with an impressive back ground in administration with FFV and coaching at a state level.  John will be a breath of fresh air for the league.  I look forward to working with him.
On the home front our season is fast approaching some senior and juniors have already starting training, some haven’t stopped good to see such enthusiasm.  I’m very excited about the current condition of our grounds they are by far the best in Geelong .  I have been working closely with Sean Broadbent and David Goldie from Greater City of Geelong and I must say thy have been extremely supportive and helpful in getting the grounds to this stage.
I would like to thank all players in their support of keeping off grounds whilst maintenance is in progress.  Remember these grounds belong to all of Ocean Grove and a whilst we are using them we are constantly in view of the general public so lets not abuse this privilege.  Feb 10-  Registration will take place from 11 – 1pm at our club  rooms on Shell Rd, Once current players position are filled any vacant spots will be offered to the general public.  Finally I would like to wish everyone the best for season 2008 enjoy your soccer and remember you are playing for Surfside- a club that prides itself on fairness and good sportsmanship
